Cirebon—Thursday (5/24/2018), Bandara Internasional Jawa Barat (BIJB) Kertajati will be officially operate the day after tomorrow by Indonesia President Joko Widodo. The soft launching is the first step to BIJB to serve mudik flow on this Lebaran season.

“We plan for the historical flight on Mei 24th,” said Ministry of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi while he attended the general lecture in Unsuwagati University on Pemuda road, Cirebon, yesterday.

According t the President Director of PT Bandara Internasional Jawa Barat (BIJB), Virda Dimas Ekaputra, the largest airport after Soekarno Hatta is ready to serve mudik after the soft launching were held on the Mei 24th.

“For mudik, start on June 5th. It has been discusssed with the Ministry of Transportation through Directorate of Air Transport, including also the five routes that target to served. The simulation will be start at Husein Sastranegara to Kertajati Airport. Because it is fasting, the concept will be having break fasting together there as the expression of gratitude,” he said.

For the definite route flight, Ministry of Transportation is still reviewing about the airlines number that will be operate on BIJB. By the increasing amount of people whom take airline as the transportation to mudik, Budi gives instruction to do the improvement on the scheduling to serve the flight until mid night.
