Jakarta - The completed Ngawi-Kertosono toll road project is targeted to be officially operational in February 2018. However, it is still awaiting the finalization of the functional feasibility test process, as explained by Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Herry Trisaputra Zuna. Herry also explained that there are no other obstacles such as land acquisition issues and crossing construction on this section.
"If Ngawi-Kertosono I do not think there is the same problem of crossing. He is more to finalize the functional test process, "said Herry.
Earlier in the month of January, PT Ngawi Kertosono Jaya (NKJ) had confirmed 98.5% of the aspects of physical development had been completed. Meanwhile, land acquisition aspect has been completed 99% of the land requirement used for this 87 km toll road project.
President Director of PT Ngawi Kertosono Jaya, Iwan Moedyarno stated that in order to strive for the acceleration of development, it is trying to catch up some work that has entered the final stage, such as intersection with national road, completion of toll gate, guardrail , sign, STA and marka road, and the construction of rest area .
"Overall, the Ngawi-Kertosono Expressway has three Toll Gate (GT) which implements a closed transaction system, which only serves 100% payment of electronic or non-cash tolls. The three toll roads are located on the Ngawi-Kertosono Toll Road, which is the toll gate of Madiun, Caruban toll gate, and the toll gate of Wilangan, "explained Iwan.
The Ngawi-Kertosono toll road is part of the Solo-Ngawi-Kertosono toll road, which is part of the Trans Java Toll Road with a complete target for this year. The Ngawi and Kertosono connections with these toll roads are expected to bring an important role in improving the cost efficiency of the distribution of goods and services affecting the improvement of the economy in Indonesia, especially in toll road corridors and Java Island.
