Makassar—As the schedule, on Mei 2018 the construction of elevated toll AP Pettarani Makassar is started. Another preparation will be start on June 2018 till January 2019 for earthwork, July 2018 till June 2019 for lower structure and September 2018 till January 2020 for upper structure.

On December 2018 till November 2019, the oprit on ramp/off ramp structure will be start. The rest such as drainage, pavement, and another completion works scheduled on April 2019 untill February 2020.

As the construction of the first elevated toll road has begun, PT Bosowa Marga Nusantara (SBM) as a contractor begins to cut down a thousand trees along Reformasi toll road untill Andi Pangerang (AP) Pettarani. The cut down is aimed to the poles installation of the elevated toll.

“This is important for the elevated toll construction. We’re done (cutting down the trees) in Reformasi toll road and then another road will be cut down later,” said President Director of PT BMN, Anwar Toha

As the povisions of environmental regulation, there will be compensation when one tree cuts down will be replace by the new 5 trees.

Talking about the construction of the toll, Makassar regional government asks to the lower utility to be more organized. So, the Head of Makassar Public Works Department, Muh Ansar offers two solutions to PT BMN.

“Commonly, the utilities were not organized well, it will be dig and lid. This is what we focus on, to concentrate the utilities in a box. At least it will be more organized then, not breaks the infrastructure when sometimes the repair is needed to do,” Anshar said.

The two alternatives that he asks are first the utilities will be place upper the elevated road and second under the ground. However, the upper one could not be applied in case of safety factor.
