Saturday (4/29/2018), Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi observes the location of LRT Jabodetabek construction project. In his observation, he appreciates the progress and optimistics to complete on target, in the mid of 2019.

“The project is running good, it’s all about 37% we hope in the mid of 2019 we done the trial test. During 1-2 months ready to go,” he said.

In addition, director of human resource of PT Adhi Karya as the contractor, Agus Karianto says the 37% is the total progress in several tracks on the phase I.

“Our progress now has reached 37%. Track I Cibubur—Cawang 60%, track II from Cawang—Dukuh Atas 22% and track III from Cawang—Bekasi Timur 40%. It all accumulated 37%,” Agus explained.

Agus admits several obstacles during implementation. For example on MT Haryono  there are few pedestrian that cannot execute and Cawang for the constriction road and Cawang Railway Station.

Ministry of Transportation targets the traffic jam in Jakarta especially can be apart on 2024 by the completed Light Rapid Transit (LRT), Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and also Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). He also appeals to the citizen to start using public transportation rather than private cars.

Related to the LRT ticket price, Mnistry of Transportation approximates it will be IDR 12.000.

“Aproximatedly IDR 12.000, hoping it could be implemented. The price was subvention from the normal price IDR 25.000. 50% subvention,” he informed.
