Jakarta - As of March 7, 2018, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) said that 5,269 work packages have been auctioned for a total value of Rp 36.4 trillion through the Electronic Procurement System (SPSE).

A total of 1,581 of them have signed contracts, and for the other 1360 has been determined announcement of the winner, and the remainder is still in the auction announcement. Head of the Public Communication Bureau of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Endra S Atmawidjaja said that this total is equivalent to 68.5% of the number of recorded auction plans.

"The amount (already auctioned) is equivalent to 68.5% of the auction plans recorded in the Public Procurement System of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing with a total of 7,688 packages worth Rp 52.9 trillion," Endra explained.

Of the total 5,269 packages that have been auctioned, 91.3% is a package of 4 Directorate General (Ditjen) that is, Directorate General of Highways as many as 1.651 Packages worth Rp 21 trillion, Directorate General of Water Resources 1,868 packages with value Rp 6.6 trillion, and Directorate General of Human Settlements as many as 1,229 packages with the value of Rp 4.7 trillion package and the Directorate General of Housing Provision of 395 packages with a total of Rp 3.7 trillion.

Endra also said that the packaging policy carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing implements about 90% is intended for small-medium contractors and private consultant services. In addition, the Ministry of PUPR has also coached small and medium construction service providers to grow. Greater opportunity is also given to private construction companies to be more involved in government projects under the Cooperation Scheme (KSO) scheme with SOEs.

"Packaging the construction work in the Ministry of Public Works and Housing becomes one of the indicators of the government's alignment for it," said Endra.

In the State Budget Plan (RAPBN) 2018, the Public Works and Housing Ministry gets allocation of 81% or Rp 88 trillion for capital expenditure and capital expenditure.
