Jakarta –Government through Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono informs at the day of mudik, people could take Pantai Selatan Road for the alternative way. The Pantai Selatan (Pansela) has 1.405 Km way length that pass through Banten untill East Java.

“Pansela now is good, from Banten to Yogyakarta, just few of it in Kebumen that not yet to be improve and soon to be improve this year. Then, from Yogyakarta untill Ponorogo, times ago I passed the road and it was good, wide enough,” Basuki said.

He adds that Pansela road promotions is also to introduce tour destination along Pansela road. People migh also enjoying the some spots over there.

“We promote to make people interested in passing the Pansela, as it is not only because of the road which is good but also the tour destination,” Basuki added.

Related to the road in East Java, from Yogyakarta to Ponorogo, Minister Basuki says the condition is so much better than the other two roads and had 7 meters width. He also informs the progress of Trenggalek—Tulung Agung—Malang—Banyuwangi doesn’t connected yet.

Meanwhile, the progress now reached 25,50 Km from the total of 78,85 Km that has been paved in Trenggalek and 11,59 Km has been paved in Tulung Agung , 64,20 Km in Blitar is still ground and 101,10 Km has been paved in Malang from the total of 137,33 Km.

In Lumajang, from the total of 65,50 Km, there are 39,31 Km has been paved, Jember 11,25 Km and last Banyuwangi 71,20 Km.

Basuki conveys that the Pansela implementation keep sontinuing to grow the safety, comfortable and also connectivity factors. The implementation of this road will be differ into some phases and target to connected on 2019.
